The units like the Sena, Cardo etc are new units, and don't have mature intercom functionality. I haven't tried many, but the ones I did were pants - they didn't squelch well, or transmitted unneeded...

Helmets and phones are two very different beasts. Any dongle you find for a helmet will pair with a phone, but not with anything else. Any dongle you find for your intercom unit (starcom, autocom)...
