Depending on the type of trip I'm going to make I sometimes also take a electric pump because those are much faster to grap and use just to get a bit more pressure in the tire after some soft sand....

They told me you don't need to disconnect the fuel because it (mostly)uses fresh air from outside of the cylinder. I always took off the floatbowl just to be sure and never had problems with it.

Every time i get on a bike with the pivot pegs i'm real happy I took mine off.

If you put the pivots on the "lowest" position they can't pivot forwards as much as in the normal high position.
