Thanks very much, I still have the bike it is running well. It's been stored outside under a cover but it is still in pretty good shape. Hammerite paint is pretty good stuff.

I have removed it before but after disconnecting the tubes fuel pump end. Can that be done with the tank on the bike still? Did you tie up the tubes to stop them dropping into the tank?
