brittle plastic. i broke 2 of these... the one originally ordered and the one he sent me for free. he's a great guy to deal with but - the product does snap very easy.

unless someone has a very extreme requirement (e.g. racing?), belt is the way to go. the Goodyear belts that HD uses on their road bikes (cruisers) are so dependable they aren't an issue at all......
