That's the one that was also used on the later runs of the NTX.I had initially heard that they were a striaght swap but it doesn't seem so after all.Seems a pretty rare part and they don't come up...

As far as I can make out the valve angle bit is all about improving the gas flow so in theory it would be a good idea.practically though I doubt if it would be noticable in terms of performance...

At 80 thou the "new" bloc isn't likely to be without faults or last much longer unless it was recently rebuilt.
The bike is a keeper....so the best course is to rebuild with new or v'good...

Be a real shame if another engine got toasted because of this !

Actually the NTX engine is the same as the other 650's.The differences are in the primary gear box ratio.The small blocks are extremely modular bikes....
