Remove the dipstick while the engine is running....

Remove the dipstick while the engine is running. Shine a light into the tank and you can observe the oil flow returning to the tank. Memory is vague regarding direction, so best to check for yourself.

The tach came with a sticky 3M products base. But it stuck to my old bike yoke. I'll pick up some sticky sided Velcro to replace the Velcro strip wraps.

I added the trail tech tach to my XMoto. Cost was $37, wrapped around the spark plug wire. Works fine... Engine cut off occurs at 7500 rpm, other tach speeds match up vs rpm according to speed vs rpm...
