But I picked my Stelvio up in mid-December and the rear tire was toast by the end of March. I guess the frozen tundra will eat a tire just as quickly as flaming sandpaper.

Check your cables at the ground and starter first. Make sure the terminals are properly crimped on the wire too. It's also. Good idea to make sure the hot lead isn't rubbing on the frame somewhere...
