I plan on replacing the nut,basket and bushing. I have heard about the bushing of death and figured thats what it was. Funny thing was the bushings perfect,no discoloration or wear. Fits very tightly...

I would suggest replacing a bearing any time you have it out. It may be undamaged but have a small amount of wear that cannot yet be detected. No bigger bummer than having to tear it apart to replace...

I have a 2000 Xr650r that has a knocking noise. It is very loud at idle and goes away when the rpms increase. Intresting thing is when I pull the clutch in the knock stops any ideas?
