06 Fz1 Ftw.
I've really enjoyed my 06 FZ1, and have done a few mods to make it more like a 1000cc SM in the feel/placement of the bars, and the Akrapovic and cut down flies open's up the power down low where...

Just added heated grips to my 06 FZ1. The grip doggies are nice for killing the slight vibes, but they also insulate any heat from the grips... Doh!
I really like the higher bars howver.. but the...

For some reason, I thought the 06 was EFI?
My 06 FZ1 is EFI, and other than the "snatch" deal that is fixed by a gadget from Ivan's, it runs very well.
All EFI's are not the same however, my...

Smallest
Had a 620RXC KTM enduro, and commuted on it quite a bit. 20 miles each day total, and it got quite good gas mileage.
However, it was not comfortable on the highway, and anything over 60mph felt...

Very comfy.
It's nice and high.. (Not what you generally see on naked bikes, especially sport bike looking ones like the FZ1.)
Rizoma 60mm risers for the thicker bars.
Protaper CR High bend bars from Psycho...

EFI and cracked frames
Well, it's been about 30f high, and in the low teens and twenties at night, and I have not started my 06 in weeks... So, do I have to screw with the choke? Or get some starter fluid? Or crank till...

I've looked at two B-King's, and the silver one is more hidious than the all black, and they have put a Two Brothers twin CF can setup on one, and it helped some, but what do you do with the rear of...

Working in this industry, and as a bike owner/rider, I have to say that loud pipes are a life style statement, and part of some owners "Style".

Jamming Lidar.
I've been told that any wide spectrum light, such as headlights can help to jam Lidar.
And they sell dedicated LED jammers that basicly shine at the same light freq. as the Lidar, making it very...

1997 RXC e 620 KTM
My 97 RXC e 620 KTM is the perfect enduro/adventure bike.
I have the KTM rear bag that fits the stock rack, and a nice fender bag to hold stuff for smaller rides when I do not need more gear.

Older might be better :)
Well, I have ridden the 950SM, and it was a kick, and some 950adv s, and it was also great on the road, and very capable off, but I have a 97 620 RXC with a "custom" windscreen, and find that the LC4...

Hoses.
I'd love to pick up a set of pre-formed silicone hoses, but if you had to replicate the #9 and #10 hoses, they would be most ikely available pre-bent at NAPA or other auto parts supply places.

I have to say that it's a good option to the more expensive, yet better technically GS650 Dakar. (ABS, and EFI.)

I was thinking instead of bb's, why not use buckshot? It's lead, and heavy, and would go down the bar tube no problem with the silicone... (At least in theory, nothing ever goes down easy... right?)...

It's the rings, not the valves.
From what I understand, most of the "break in" for a new or reciently rebuilt motor has to do with ring seal.
The rings "machine" themselves to the piston bore using the cross hatch pattern left...
