Rode a few other bikes growing up, but never owned them. A harley a couple times, and a late 70's early 80's metric bike of some sort.

The better half and I ride it. I very rarely ride solo. So I intend to pretty much keep it looking how it looks now. Just didn't like those factory mufflers that extended like 5 feet past the rear...

Just put the aftermarket exhaust on my R90/6. I like the look way better, nice deep tone, etc etc... but the rear brake lever is in the way.

Absolutely check the floats and make sure they are adjusted properly.

I pulled my hair out trying different solutions to fix this problem with my bike. I almost wonder if they had been adjusted...

UPDATE.... Problem Solved!

OK, new wires installed, but before I went for a test ride, I also checked the float level.

Put a pan under the carbs, and pulled the bowl off. Lifted the floats up by hand and turned gas on.

1974 r90/6 gauges, what is involved with getting behind the glass faces covering the speedo and tach, and cleaning the glass, etc?

I need to check the vent on the gas tank too and make sure its breathing.

Good call though, just found some high temp wires on eBay from a seller with good feedback. Ordered them just now. Even if wires are not the issue, having fresh wires...

Pulling hard, tried different positions on the choke. No better really at any position one way or the other.

Opened the petcocks to let the fuel bowls fill to the where the floats would shut them off. Then pulled the bowls. Both had relatively the same amount of gas in each one.

64/32/11 on the left...

Problem existed before the new petcocks and problem still exists.

I never thought about only running on 1...
