Fixed it.

I think maybe I wasn't quite at TDC when I made my adjustments. Spent another 45 minutes tonight, took my time and it sounds just fine.

The valve job went real easy. Took about 1.5 hours and was good meditative work.

Flogged the bike today on Mt. Tam and it runs like a champ.

If the ass-end is uphill there's no way I can tip it onto the center stand. My driveway has a slight slope. Have to get on level ground, or point the nose up the drive to center stand it.
