Once the bleeder is in you should really never need to remove it. Loosen the 17mm nut to bleed the brakes.

At 30k miles it should have had the water pump rebuilt, fuel filters changed and valves checked recently.
Battery could be getting a little worn too.

No major problems with the ABS malfunctioning...

Plugged fuel filters will do this. I change mine every 5k-10k miles. You can tell because the stalling is worse when the tank is about empty, and goes away when full. The pump heats the fuel up...

Haven't tried it myself, but I've heard that you can wrap the bar with black electrical tape, then put on the grip heater and the grip. It might be a tight squeeze but should help some.

You could have some corrosion on the terminals that's keeping it from charging. Most autoparts stores will test your battery for free for you.
