Not personally, but I know a few people reckon they're OK. They are wide for carrying on a bike, but that width is good come bed time. Can't go wrong for the price.

Certainly looks like a basic quality (or lack off) issue. I got over 30,000 on my previous two bikes (DR650 & Xt660R) and initial impressions are that that the G650GS feels easier...
