I haven't seen a dyno chart, but, I have riden the two bikes back to back, and to me, the 400 feels like a much less powerful bike. Probably just a matter of the big 650 having more Tq. at lower RPM.

my bike consistently (without fail) gets 53 mpg +/- 0.2 mpg.
my vapor is accurate to within 0.5% confirmed by GPS....
