Funny you should mention the FJR 1300. I ordered one, waited 6 months, it arrived, road 4000 miles in 2 months, then it was stolen.

Ordered another one, waited 4 months, couldn't take it anymore...

Yes, I think that was Cotton Wood Canyon Rd. My map doesn't say what the road is called, but it shows Cotton Wood creek running parallel to the road. So that must be it.

I started at Rudy's Inn (near Bryce Utah), down to Kodachrome basin, then out to hwy 89 near Lake Powell. Maiden voyage on the new steed.

I was a wet muddy mess after that ride. Froze my ass off...

Yes, off road is good. The stock tires however suck in sand and mud. Getting knobbies as soon as possible.
