I have to say I'm shocked to see no one has suggested a BMW GS 1150 or 1200. Price is right, size is right, re-sale is good, handles great, has bags, heated grips, ABS brakes, how can you go wrong....

I'm also shopping FZ1's but don't under estimate the Suzuki V Strom 1000, Great for tall riders, V-twin with more then enough power, liquid cooled for those hot days and good deals on used bikes....

I went from Venom's to Cobra and I think the Cobra are much better. My Venoms needed a lot of warm up before they would stick, the Cobra's seem to hold better.
