Vario backrest is garbage

My wife hates the overly expensive vario backrest. The cushions are rock hard and not adjustable. I tried the backrest once when the case was in the forward position and it was more uncomfortable...

I purchased one of the replacement mount tools (the silver one in the cradle picture above that goes on your key ring) from my local BMW dealer. I think it was $19 which is probably more expensive...

I have an '07 GS that I purchased in April and the TPM works just fine. It gives me a read out of the tire pressure for front and rear with a push of the button.:freaky
