The pipe guard is more for not melting your pants if you go down

Don't have that tank; the ktm 3.5 doesn't really need them but the front is exposed....rad guards can't hurt though.

I have a 2012 500 and had no issues breaking my bike in w/ synthetic Motorex that came in the bike, so l think you should be fine breaking the engine in w/ the Motorex oil the bike comes with.

anyone tried taking two straight blade screw drivers, cross them w/ the tips against the inner ridge of the filter and wiggle it out. seems like a simple way. I've not had a problem w/ this issue.

If I was looking for a bigger tank now I'd go for the 5.3. You don't have to fill it to the top every ride, just fill it according to the ride your doing at the time. As for looks...you can't see it...

Some folks have received the shorter fasteners w/ the 3.5 gal tank but more have had to order them from the dealer. Not too expensive.

I understand...i have a 500. I'm just saying the 350 is, imo, better suited for single track if thats what you ride the most. A bike w/ more power will sap your strength quicker than one w/ less...
