Among my motorcycle history have been a W650, '07 Bonneville, and most recently a '73 R75/5. I just, plain and simple, love the style of bike from before the hyper-segmentation that we see today....

I really like this bike at first glance. I'm a standard bike kinda guy -- best riding year ever was on a 2007 Bonnie Black. Not because it's retro, but because it's what a bike is supposed to look...

Good to see that bike's getting a new life (saw it for sale online). Looks pretty solid. Makes me long to have my /5 back -- next year may be another hunt for a new airhead.

My Bonnie touring experience

I had a 2007 Bonneville Black for a couple years. Loved it. Added a set of Ortleib dry bag saddle bags and a Ortleib duffle to it for travel (weather tested and completely waterproof), a small tail...

My current one (the MGB) spent its first 15 years in jolly old England (it's a home market RHD car). Luckily someone else already did the bulk of the work on it. No more restoration work for me for a...

Pickling an airhead (R75/5) for a few years

So I was contemplating selling my /5, even went as far as putting a few ads around to see if there was any interest. I didn't expect much, as this is the wrong time of year to sell a bike.

Very nice little ride. A 2000 KLR was my first bike ever -- bought mine brand new and put 11k miles on it in 4 years. Even had the same sun-faded plastic. :)

Thanks for taking us along.
