Clymer, p 240 diags 45 & 46 appear to show the extra lip to the top, but the text in section 13.b. reads "Position the seal with the open groove facing upward".

There's no obvious reason for the seals to be leaking - the old ones weren't leaking, the new ones have no marks or scratches on either the inside or outside, the rods are smooth,...

G'day Hugh, go with the 5wt, the Ricor valves give a lot of stiffness when the steering head is moving, but are soft when it is the wheel moving - it's the inertia thing. The 10wt will slow the wheel...
