I bought a can of carb clean, the kind you add to the fuel and then run the engine. I don't have high hopes but I'm going to try it anyway, if that doesn't work I'm going to have to pull the carbs...

I'm pretty sure the bad starts are a lack of fuel, with starter spray in the airbox the engine turns over a couple of times.

Timesert doesn't exist in M3, smallest is M4, and I don't feel helicoil is appropriate, if that exists in M3, no idea. Finding a machine shop is a good idea, or ask a dealer to find a shop for me....

SS means stainless steel, I guess? and the case halves are alu/magnesium, soft material anyway,...

Most required some convincing with a hammer and punch...
