You are getting it just warm enough to build condensation, but not hot enough to burn it off. You need to take a trip at least once a week of at least 20 miles to bur it off from your commutes.

No real trick. Get the rear part in place first, make sure the plastic retainer is positioned correctly, then the forward one. It requires a fair bit of swearing and a few drinks, but it will go on.

7 degrees is easily within tolerance. 20 degrees would be noticeable. The heated grips should surpass 100 degrees easily.

The valve covers with nothing on them barely get too hot to touch. They have no real cooling purpose. Even BMW makes full covers for the valve covers. I do not think this is a concern.:deal
