By the way... done 21K miles. Live in San Diego. crossed country to the east coast and back twice. Some of those west Texas winds were a bitch. but... I think the best advice may be suspension...

I'm glad to see a few posts regarding the front end twitchiness of the '05 BMW 1200GS.
I ride lots of off road as well as on. BMW works great. Great for a big bike off road... amazing in twisties...
