It won't hurt to change the seals but was the oil you had analysed Motorex? Apparently there's an unusually high amount of glycol in that stuff straight out of the can.

Yes Sir. The clutch was engaging fine. The problem was that with a half worn clutch pack there was not enough piston travel when clutch was not engaged, thus causing the clutch to slip.
