PD tank rubbers

Mornin' Rob thanks for chiming in. The part numbers are 237552 and 237553 on the Max parts fiche. They are adhered to the tank with something.

I had a R1200 GS for seven years. It was a great bike but huge for me,especially loaded with gear. The Suzuki looks promising though and will look further into it. Thanks for your help.

How did you keep all the debris out of the pinion assembly? When I tapped the hole with the threaded ring out I was able to stuff oil soaked paper towels in the housing and trap the debris.

KSB valve

shimming question- 0.09mm shim?

After replacing the bearings in my 5 speed and taking measurements I have an output shaft measurement of 0.14mm. Minus 0.05mm leave me with 0.09. Is there a small shim?

I feel your pain jbeem. I have thrown a lot of time and cash into a 81 R80 G/S and by all accounts our fellow inmates just say "bite the bullet and fix it" so I have on order transmission bearings....
