In the newer models the the doo is thicker but the spring is still lacking the strength need ed to keep the chain in place. I replaceed mine at 3000 miles on my 2011.

My last bike was a wide glide, so standing up was never an option. I forgot about a normal bike's pegs. This will be really good since I'm not getting any younger.
