IMO...2WD will be fine.

You should ask for a short test drive on 2WD & 4WD. There is a big difference in handling, weight, ride quality, tire wear, etc. I have ridden both and would not want a 4WD except for mud bogs. ...

Rode Tuesday at Rampart, a little snow in spots, ice in the puddles during morning, warming during the day. Tacky conditions, no dust, very few riders. Best it can be.
