We've used Harley V Rod shims on the LC 8's and 690's for years.
They come in half steps ( sizes between the KTM shims ) so you can
get closer settings.

FWIW My dealer told yesterday that KTM would be phasing out the 690,
which he said did not sell well in Europe and to fill the slot, will be
