Not true on the 500 EXC gear ratios. The 500 EXC has a very well spread out, versatile, wide ratio 6 speed gearbox. Also, they have proven to be quit durable and long-lived.

If three inches of seat fome were removed, there would be little if any foam left!!

Another option for slight lowering with the PDS system is the Synergy Seal X-Bushing.

BMW G450X vs Berg 570

I find it hard to believe that a BMW 450 will out-pull a good running Berg 570 on the top end!! Is it gearing or something else? There is no way that a 450 would or could out-pull my Beta 565...

GSW Heated Grips Updated Computer Program

I have complained about the anemic heat from my '14 GSW for some time now. I finally went in to my BMW dealer (A&S) again and they said to fill out a 'PUMA' report to BMW. BMW OK'ed the...

MotoZ Mountain Hybrid Tire Weight?

I am hoping that somebody will weigh this tire for us. I read somewhere that it weighs 16 1/4 lbs!! I hope that is not the case as that would make it extremely heavy. The robust MT43 weighs much...

Rubber Snubbers vs MXCl/Acerbis Tank Shrouds

I have used the MXC/Acerbis tanks on three bikes. Rather than use the stock snubber at the bottom, I lay a length of 3/4" thick sticky weather stripping along the outer edge of each rad for impact...

Lapping Del West TI valves is not a good idea. The problem is that excessive lapping destroys the very thin special valve coating on the TI intake valves. The future life of the lapped valves will...

Prgressive Spring vs Prograssive damp

On the other hand, why wouldn't a progressive spring be a good match for progressive damping? It seems to me that a progressive spring would be compatible with progressive damping.

The fan kit shown would probably work but it is not the correct fan kit unless you willing to splice the thermo-sensor into the rad hose.

TrailTech Odometers

A nice feature of the Striker is that the trip meter is easily adjustible in increments up or down. It is too bad that none of the TT odos have dual trip meters like the stock odos do.

A word to the wise; these one way vent valves are not a good idea. They can lead to excessive pressure buildup in the tank as the gas heats up, often overloading the float needle valve, etc.

Yes, that is quite an endorsement.

Out of curiosity, what were the piston ring end gaps on the used rings? Ordinarily rings would automatically be replaced in an engine that is torn down.
