I know this sounds silly, but did you remove the small drain bolt that is just under the front down tube? There are two drain bolts, the larger one on the engine and the small one on the frame down...

Very nice! No clearance issues with the kickstart lever?

A friend of mine had some wider pegs on his KTM, and the kickstart would bottom out on the peg, damaging the kickstart lever.

Sorry to hear of the kick start troubles....

If it turns out to be galled clutch bushing, hopefully your clutch basket is usable. Its very easy to break the clutch basket without the proper tool...

Hey, just my opinion here.....I would not buy any XRR that's been Super Moto converted....pretty much guarentees its hat its nuts wrung off hard, and thrashed to death. Repeatedly.

it does no take the tapered bolts used on alloy sprockets.

I am sure the non-tapered bolts are common, but I could not find them...

Dunn Bridge

Dunn Bridge crosses the Rio Grande River Gorge just north west of Taos. We approached it from the North, riding in miles and miles of BLM land.
