03 and earlier bikes (IIRC) have a different clutch assembly or something along those lines which do require mineral oil. I'm no mechanic but I remember this being discussed in detail elsewhere...

Yes. Mine came w/ the remote preload. Mounts to frame just above compression tank. Only the Rebound knob adjuster is at the shock (at base, nearest the ground) and is easily accessible on my bike.
