Really? We have a hex and a cam and they have the same battery. Both from new. My camhead seems to spin faster than the hexhead I noticed. Maybe it's the luck of the draw.

Doesn't the WC have a parking light? That's what we always used to come on and off with the key. I would not worry about getting it to turn on and off with the engine running, key is sufficient.
