I'd have to disagree, a skinner and lighter tire would mean less rotational mass but that would not change gearing at all. It would effect acceleration and a lighter wheel would accelerate faster,...

Fred,
I have a similar voltage gauge along with a temperature gauge and I love them both. They say they are weather proof and designed for bikes, I have never had a problem with them (the temp...

Getting the clutch actuater arm out

If I remember correctly, you unhook the clutch cable at the arm and then turn it clock-wise about 180 degrees and it will pull right out (no need to remove any covers). My friends cracked and...

Swimmer,
I remember reading about Crawdaddy having engine problems after he put on the 290 Athena. I believe his problem was related to running it too lean as he did not upgrade to an after market...

How many miles are you guys getting before doing any top end work?

I have been following this thread since I bought a brand new 2009 TE610 and I don't recall coming across any info regarding when these bikes need any top end work done. I have over 23,000 miles on...

You may want to try the Perelli MT43 (DOT trials tire), I was surprised how well it held up to all the lava/cinder/asphalt. I had about 2,100 miles on it when I started my Big Island ride and when I...
