The 1st thing I checked of course that the cable ends seated in their ferrules properly.

Throttle body bush more than likely

If you put a finger upon the cam that the cable connects to on the inside of the t/b and the ticking goes away, the t/b bushings are worn. You'll need to replace the bushes. Fairly straightforward...
