Not sure of size of hole on 650, but on the 250, it is very small, 1/8 inch maybe, leads to pumping losses, or pressure build up under piston on downstroke. Bigger piston presumably bigger issue.

Same move here, got klx, got a big bore kit, DR went somewhere else. I do not miss it at all, although I have dl650 for longer, faster road trips. Klx is just so much better on trails.

Two high mounted pipes raises the COG, it is all a trade off, but everyone will enjoy the lower COG of new bike, two people may actually dent the current exhaust from actual rough usage.

I like it so much, i sold my well set up dr650. Way better on slow technical stuff, better transmission ratios, just as good on road. Dr was easier to change front sprocket on, little bit longer...
