I just had/fixed this problem...here is what I did.

Based off tons of advice/previous posts/research, here is what I did/I'd try first before replacing the clutch or any components. If youve already done this or mentioned it previously I missed it.

+1 for the above. Just put the bike on the side stand, NOT the center stand, and remove the clutch cover. There is a TON of info on this site about the 950/990 clutch.

With bike off, I tried putting it in gear, pulling the clutch in, and turning the back wheel. I can get it to turn, but it is hard as hell.
