I expect to ride without the inserts at all times just because I've never found inserts to be of any particular use on any bike I've owned (yes, including the 3 paint-shaker KTM 640's I've had) but...

Its a little hard to tell...

The Motech pegs are slightly tilted forward so they're not flat. That makes it a little difficult to give exact information but I would say in the normal position they are virtually identical to the...

Stelvio's back...

...got my new Stelvio back from the dealer after warranty work. They replaced the ECU and I put about 100 miles on it. Its running properly again so it does appear the ECU went bad.

I treated...

Skeptical too...

The dealer found moisture on the connections for the ECU so dried them and test rode it. It did not do the death on the side of the road thing but when they returned from the test ride they checked...

I could only get ATC to engage when I really tried hard, as in on dirt or gravel and accelerating hard in first or second gear. Never had it activate on the road, even in the rain or accelerating...

that normal ATC operation was an indication of ECU failure. I said both Evil Clown's description and my initial symptoms both match ATC operation. I further said that I cannot determine any other...

but the behavior, in both instances, Evil Clown's and mine, matches ATC activation. Light flickers, engine cuts out... doesn't match any other situation I can come up with. In my case, it seemed...

The point I was trying to make...

... is that the ATC engagement, the warning light, the engine "cutting" out is the way my ECU failure began. Probably not related, but interesting (to me at least). If I had been on a loose surface...

Hmmm...

[In reference to Evil Clown's mystery warning light and engine cut-out]

The "cutting out" part is what bothers me. This is similar to what happened to me as I was on my way over to the dealer to...

I'll be joining FTB and riding up on Saturday. Hey, one night's MC camping is better than none right?

This will be the camping debut of the new 990 SMT since I had to miss CroMag!

In Vintage racing we need to use vintage designs. Our bikes compete in classes that are restricted to roughly early 70's technology. #91's frame is basically stock while #280 does have a braced...

Yes, the AM18 designed as a rear tire, so is the AM22. Both are also recommended as front tires but are not designed for it. I tried the AM18 because at that time there seemed no better choice in...
