I own a 2011 R1200RT and recommend this bike. It handles great, perfect wind and weather protection and can do high speed touring all day long.

I see where I probably used the incorrect wording. It is not a "spot" but the entire circumference on each side of the tires. You are right, flat spots would be caused due to chattering suspension....
