The original goal was to traverse the old supply trail from that went from Ft. Bridger, WY to Vernal, UT. It is one of the only two trails that drop off the north side of the Uintas on the west side....

CR 84 is usually hard dirt. The turn to the kilns is a pretty sandy two track with a short steep up hill. If you park at the slag dump, you should be ok.

PS. That is the right route.
