Hello NYC'ers

I am going to New York City with a friend in a car in late April (26-27-28-29). I been to NYC few times but always by bike, parking was fairly easy and I would sleep in Long Island...

So yes on trips where I am further than 1000kms from homw Ill carry...

BTW: Either dl1000/dl650 do not work anyway with the versys 1000 wich runs a 25mm front axle.

Gotta source bearings, spacers and and a way to mate...

best tool to replace wheel bearings on the road?

I dont have any special tools to do the wheel bearings on my bikes.

I tried a few times to remove a bearing myself with a flathead by trying to catch the gap between the spacer and the bearing...

You can take them cross country and rides on rough / fire service roads and light / moderate trail duty.

The most money saved buying the DL1000 is not up front but later down the road. My guess is that the long term ownership cost of the GSW/1190 will be exponentially higher than with the Suzuki.

If it only leaks when the motor is running look at the crank seals.

Yeah sometimes the front plastic have a buzz to them. I bought some felt tape (velcro) that i glued on the parts where the plastics mate and all is well.

If you put in a 16t front, you wont experience vibes on the highway at normal legal cruising speeds. That bike is short-geared...
