Okay, technically all you would need to support these saddle bags is a seat, and I know you well enough to know that you have one of those on your bike... HOWEVER, (and I'm not sure if you saw this in the product description already, but) for high-piped bikes, including dual sports, the bags work best with a guard to keep them away from the exhaust and the tire. They are nice and roomy, so although they don't need a rack to support them, you gotta consider what's underneath.
