Craggy Gardens visitor center on the BRP.
I just knew on a day like this I was gonna get Bruced on this so I was in no hurry. I rode up through Newport and out to Hot Springs then told my GPS to take me to the tag site. Turns out my Zumo 550 doesn't know about the visitor center. Guess I coulda looked at that first. At any rate it took me through some neat places including all the way to Jupiter. Then the road turned to gravel.
Sweet cool riding. It must have rained there a few minutes before I arrived and everything had that sweet fresh smell to it.
From the website:
"Craggy Gardens, Milepost 364
The name fits – Craggy Gardens. These high elevation summits are home
to the most spectacular floral display along the 469-mile parkway
corridor. Mid to late June is usually prime time for viewing the pink
and purple blooms of rhododendron that blanket much of the Craggies.
All told I rode 258 miles and love it all.
