Got out of the shop for a ride yesterday on the new setup. I'm very happy with how these turned out. I know many have said that they don't like how the 17" handle or look, but for me it's great. No worries, the setup is stable on the freeway and handle the twisties very well. I now have a set of true tubeless road tires that I can swap on in about 30-45 mins. Great for commuting when I get back from the trails or when I hit the track.
I'm running the Shinko Podium F006 and R006 tires. $170 for the set. I started the morning w/ 0 miles on them on cool and wet roads. Perfect for scrubbing in new tires.
No issues, they stuck well and handle very nice, Running PSI is about 36 front and rear. At this price I can have alot of fun w/ the throttle hand and not feel to bad. Sure makes for an odd looking touring bike, but function over fashion...correct.
47,500 miles on the bike.
