I bought one of these months ago and still carry it unused. However, it dawned on me that if (when) the fuel pump controller goes out, how would I know. Meaning, the engine will still turn, etc. So, does it burn up and give that burnt electrical smell?
The process of elimination will eventually get to it, but if I get on the bike and it turns over but won't start, would this be the first place to go?
When you turn the key I think you can hear the pump noise. A fault code reader would tell you the problem. Taking 15 minutes to put in the bypass cable would be a good way to test it.
