I put on Fastway F5 pegs in the low boy position and lowered the shifter one spline lower and adjusted the rear clevis on the brake to lower the brake pedal position level with the lower footpeg. The rear clevis clip pops off and a 10 mm wrench lets you spin the clevis up to adjust the foot pedal position.
There seems to be a lot of confusion about the F800GS on our forum. I have only had my bike a month and I am learning a lot from the experience on this forum.
For another example many are trying to put grips over top of the stock heated grips. I managed to remove the stock grips off of the stock heated grips and safety wired new ProGrips on them without issues and I still have all the heat going thru the new grips.
