I used 2 different types
For the mainly asphalt and good gravel roads, 'hardpack' etc, I used Mefo Super Explorers. They are very similar to Heidenau K60s. Basically equivalent of TKC80 in grip, but much longer lasting ... they are good for 15,000 km. This is all you need for Central Asia and Mongolia.
For the more 'interesting' bits in Siberia, I used Michelin Deserts ... sometimes without bib-mousse, but for the really out in the middle of nowhere stuff I used mousse. These tyres were good for about 6,000km
