I've been working on dialing in the suspension tuning and gearing of my new KLX450R, since acquiring the bike a few weeks ago, so my buddy Lorenzo (KLX400R) and I figured there's no better place for testing my set-up, than the rocky glacial barrens of Newfoundland's East Coast. If your suspension isn't working properly, it's going to show on this type of terrain.
The weather has been surprisingly mild here this fall, so it was a real treat to spend a day trail riding during the last weekend of November, when there is usually too much snow and ice on the rocks to risk a trail ride.
Oh and, if you've ever wondered why they refer to The Island of Newfoundland as 'The Rock', now you know.
Here's a few photos...
Lorenzo battling some boulders on the 400...
I'm thinkin' this new 450 is in the goldielocks zone, now. Just gas it and go, rocks be damned...
Lorenzo poking his nose down a side route...
'New-found' gearing and suspension tuning. I'm lovin' it!...
