Fwiw, when I installed the G2 Throttle Tamer, I was easily able to remove the stock grips. If all I wanted to do was change the grips, I could have done so easily. Just carefully cut off the old ones and install the new ones. Done.

Only downside is having to buy two sets of grips since the left grip requires a throttle sized grip.
