The first mod any off-roader is going to make is getting rid of the twin cans. My guess is the weight will be close enough to the 610 so as not to be an issue. A couple pounds for the top end and hydro clutch. I'd still buy one over a 690 or anything else out there.
I just wonder if the torque curve will be as linear as the 610. Some people complain about the lack of "hit" in the power band. The smooth power delivery is one of the things that make this bike (610) so great for me.
