Well, It sounds like you might give the airbox and related hoses a good cleaning out...If you got a bunch of oil in there it works it's way down into the carbs gradually.

I bet it clears up. But a little smoke on startup is in the range of normal for these engines. Hold it upright for 30 seconds after you shut it off. Then put it on the side stand, Get off, Then put it on the center stand.

I only use the side stand for quick offs and on's. Like beer stops.
